Lydiard Park, STEAM Museum of the Great Western Railway and Museum & Art Swindon are each offering a wide range of attractions, aimed at families, specialists and visitors from across the region.
Together, the programmes underline the venues’ continued importance to Swindon’s cultural and visitor economy.
Museum & Art Swindon is presenting an ambitious exhibitions schedule, with a strong emphasis on art, science and discovery.
Surreal Impulses is running until Friday 14 March, examining the lasting influence of surrealism. The Lost Surrealist: Henry Orlik’s Quantum Revolution is also on display until Friday 14 March, focusing on the work of a single experimental artist.
A Curator Talk linked to The Lost Surrealist exhibition is due to take place on Friday 24 January, offering insight into the development of the show. Fossil Hunters, which runs until Friday 11 April, is aimed at families and younger visitors with an interest in natural history.
STEAM Museum will once again combine its railway heritage with large public events throughout the year.
The STEAM Wedding Show is scheduled for Saturday 11 January. The Swindon Card Show will take place on Friday 31 January and Saturday 1 February.
The Swindon Wellbeing Festival is planned for Friday 7 February and Saturday 8 February. Comic Con 2026 is set for Saturday 20 June, followed by the Great Western Brick Show on Saturday 10 October and Sunday 11 October.
At Lydiard Park, a mix of lifestyle, family and food events is planned across both indoor and outdoor spaces.
The Lydiard Park Hotel Wedding Showcase will be held on Saturday 25 January. Galentine’s Paint & Sip is scheduled for Wednesday 12 February.
A Murder Mystery Evening titled Murder Beyond the Manor is planned for Saturday 28 March. Mayhem of Mad4Animals will run across Saturday 25 April and Sunday 26 April.
The Great British Food Festival is due to take place on Saturday 1 August and Sunday 2 August.
