The street, affectionately known by locals as “Santa claus street”, features houses decorated with colourful lights, inflatables and seasonal displays along its full length.

Aerial photographs taken by drone operator Ross Bisley show the scale of the effort, with rooftops, gardens and windows glowing across the road.

The display has become a popular destination in the run-up to Christmas, with families travelling from across Swindon and further afield to walk or drive through the street.

Its reputation has grown in recent years through word of mouth and social media, turning a quiet residential road into a seasonal landmark.

Ross Bisley, drone operator, said:

“When you see it from above, you really understand why people call it Santa claus street. It is not just one or two houses, it is the whole road coming together to create something special.

It is a great example of what happens when neighbours decide to do something collectively, rather than individually.”

Residents say the displays are the result of neighbours working together, with more decorations added year by year.

The coordinated effort has turned Eastbury Way into a shared spectacle that brings festive cheer to thousands and adds an extra touch of Christmas magic to Swindon.
