It is a famous quote by Benjamin Franklin that time is money. Just like you need to handle money efficiently, time needs similar attention as well.

You can strike the best mix between jobs, recreation, and resting time if you handle time properly. You can pursue your daily task efficiently if you learn proper time management skills.

Also, you will feel lighter, and your mental health will improve significantly.

Here are six proven time management skills told by one of the best life coaches in London which you can master to handle your time more effectively.

1. Set goals

By defining goals, you can determine what your time is worth and what kind of distraction to distance from.

Start by telling yourself where you want to be in a specific period of time. Then move forward over the next year or perhaps a decade and see where you want to be.

Set practical and measurable professional and personal objectives. This is an important initiative to improve time management.

2. Prioritise

When it comes to efficient time management habits, priority should not be overemphasised.

It can be challenging to determine what task to perform first, especially when you are flooded with a lot of urgent tasks.

However, once you have specific objectives already set up, it becomes simple to prioritise your goals and accomplish them.

3. Pick up one task at a time

Don’t multitask.

By multi-tasking, you won’t be able to catch up to the workload. Concentrate more on completing one mission at a time.

Researchers have said that the execution of activities in a continuous series contributes to efficient resource usage. Changing from one job to another generally doesn’t allow resources to be used correctly.

4. Get Rid of Procrastination

According to Edward Young, Procrastination is the robber of time.

Don’t let procrastination take your attention by deferring projects that you should be focused on right now.

Know that the perfect moment to do something is the present one. To beat procrastination, push yourself and finish an aligned task.

5. Take small breaks

Short breaks for the downtime should be squeezed in between your tasks. Take a five to ten-minute break after every hour to think and relax.

You should use an alarm clock to alert you that you have a break plan.

Stop your work and relax at your workstation or have a cup of coffee and take a quick stroll to stretch your back. Remember to have time for lunch as you can’t function well if you’re hungry.

6. Assign responsibilities

You can’t do that all by yourself. When you’re stressed, it’s also a smart thing to assign things to someone. When you delegate jobs to the right individuals, you save resources and alleviate tension.

Various life coaches in London say that you should give up control of the steering wheel and delegate power and accountability to eligible individuals.

Dumping isn’t the same as the delegation. Assign activities that have ramifications. This promotes transparency and guarantees that deadlines and targets are reached.
