There are just a few days to go until the Bubble Rush and Brighter Futures, Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s charity, are thrilled that over 1000 people have already signed up for the foam-filled family fun run, which takes place at Lydiard Park on Saturday 15 June.
Bubble Rush is a fun run with a difference. It starts in a sea of foam, and along the course are four bubble stations pumping out masses of coloured bubbles. It’s not a race, the event isn’t timed and there’s no pressure to run. Those taking part can jog, walk, dance, toddle or crawl their way along the course.
The two-lap course is also pushchair and wheelchair-friendly, so everyone in the family can take part.
With the 11am start wave already sold out, organisers are putting the call out to ‘bubblers’ to sign up for the 12 o’clock start, as places are filling fast.
The deadline for online registration is 5pm on Thursday 13 June. There is no minimum fundraising requirement to take part, but Brighter Futures are asking people to get sponsored or make a donation to show their support for the work of the charity.
“We still have tickets left for the Bubble Rush so please do come along. It’s set to be a great day of fun for all the family,” said Michelle Leighton, Community and Events Manager for Brighter Futures.
“Every penny raised goes towards enhancing the care provided at Great Western Hospital. We are thrilled that Extreme Adventure Ltd have chosen Swindon, and Brighter Futures, as the location and charity of this event.”
Tickets for Swindon Bubble Rush can be purchased online until Thursday 13 June. Tickets cost £20 for an adult, £10.00 for children (aged 3-15) and there’s a family discount for 2 adults + 2 children at £12.75 per person. The entry price includes a Bubble Rush t-shirt to wear at the event and a finisher’s medal.
