Early proposals for the development of a high quality, sustainable Science Park in Swindon are to be shown to the public at an exhibition on Wednesday 5th September.
Proposals that are being developed by Swindon-based Wasdell Properties Ltd, will deliver much-needed facilities for research and development and for high-tech manufacturing, as well as meeting Wasdell Packaging’s own requirements for growth.
The proposed site is at Inlands Farm, Wanborough, between The Marsh and Pack Hill.
For several years Wasdell Properties Ltd has been promoting the site for development to Swindon Borough Council who are working on the Local Plan 2036 review.
Wasdell Properties Ltd will submit a request for Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Scoping Opinion to Swindon Borough Council in the coming weeks. This is designed to inform the preparation of the necessary technical inputs to a potential future planning application.
A spokesperson for Wasdell Properties said: “We are committed to engaging with the local community and stakeholders on these proposals early on as part of our consultation programme, and we want to hear people’s views.
“Members of the team involved in working up the scheme will be on hand at the exhibition to meet members of the public, employers and others who are interested to learn more and to let us know what they think.”
On Wednesday 5th September 2018 at The Holiday Inn, Marlborough Road, Swindon SN3 6AQ the exhibition will be open to the public from 3pm to 7.30pm
Parking is available for visitors at The Holiday Inn, and there will also be a free shuttle bus running between Wanborough and the Holiday Inn, picking up outside The Cross Keys on Burycroft, The Plough Inn on High Street and at the bus stop opposite the top of Kite Hill.
