Following the acquisition of popular local news website Swindon 24, its founder Daniel J Webb has announced that he is to leave the management team.
“I’m incredibly excited to announce that the Swindon 24 brand has been acquired. As of Monday 15 August, I will no longer be a part of the company, or its management team”, founder Daniel said. “However, I will of course continue to remain involved as an occasional news reporter and press photographer.”
“It’s not the first time I’ve successfully built and sold a local news website, and it won’t be the last. But for now, it’s time to take a break from the fast-paced news industry.
“I want to personally thank everyone who has supported Swindon 24’s growth so far – including our 120,000+ readers, advertisers and emergency service press offices – because without you, it wouldn’t have become what is – the biggest independent news outlet in the town. I hope your support for the website will continue for many, many years.”
