Police release CCTV after Wootton Bassett anti-social behaviour

Police in Royal Wootton Bassett have released CCTV images in a bid to talk to a number of people after an incident at My Local.

Royal Wootton Bassett & Cricklade Police wrote on Facebook: “Earlier this evening Wiltshire Police and South Western Ambulance Service were called to My Local shop (formerly Morrison’s) on [Royal Wootton Bassett] High Street.

“[Royal Wootton Bassett] [Neighbourhood Policing Team] would like to speak to the involved [featured on the CCTV stills] regarding the incident.

“Anyone who has any knowledge as to who the below might be, can send us a private message with the details or contact Wiltshire Police on 101 and quote Log Reference Number 263 of today 08/11/2015.”

On the Facebook post, Tash Brook commented: “I’m so angry! There was a 50 year old man swearing in the store in front of my 3 year old son and now my picture is on here for anti social behaviour”.

Later, a post on the police Facebook page read: “Regarding our earlier post about the incident at the My Local in the High Street in RWB.

“All parties have contacted us and we have now spoken with them and have their version of the events that took place.

“As is the case with most incidents we only initially get one side of the story and are happy to confirm that those whose images that were captured on the CCTV were not involved in anything criminal.

“Thank you for your assistance.”
