Police are hunting for a violent criminal, who has broken the terms of his prison release licence – the public are warned not to approach him and call 999.
Martyn Philip Littlechilds, 29, previously from Penhill, had been released on licence from prison after serving three years and five months of an eight year sentence for robbery, false imprisonment, criminal damage, and ABH.
Littlechilds has broken the terms of his prison release licence, which has subsequently been revoked and he must now be returned to prison to finish his sentence.
Sergeant Caroline Hook said: “Officers are carrying out a number of enquiries locally in order to find this man and I ask that anyone who has information contacts me straightaway.
“All calls will be dealt with in the strictest confidence.
“Although there is no specific threat to the public we would urge the public not to approach this man and call 999 immediately.”
