Plain-clothed police officers make arrests on Ocotal Way

Police officers in unmarked vehicles stopped a car on Ocotal Way earlier today, resulting in a number of arrests, an eye-witness claims.

A vehicle was stopped by police officers at around 1.30pm this afternoon, near to Tesco Extra on Ocotal Way. A number of plain-clothed and uniformed police officers in unmarked cars made the stop.

A witness, who was in a car passing the incident, told Swindon 24 that handcuffed occupants of the car were being “vigorously searched” and then placed into the police car.

We are unsure of the reason for the search and reported arrests at this stage.
