Family and friends of Swindon’s renowned pavement poet, Daniel Rowland, are relieved to hear that his is safe.
The Pavement Poet, who is also a Swindon 24 columnist, was out of touch with family during the tragic Paris attacks on Friday night.
Although, Daniel wasn’t in Paris at the time of the attacks.
“Despite fears for my safety hitting the newspapers I am pleased to say I am alive, well and there are more than enough French police & soldiers to protect my poetry from Islamic fundamentalists”, he said.
Adding, “I even managed to make a few of the soldiers smile.
“Will be continuing the journey South over the next few days.”
