The owner of Oops-a-Daisy Childcare resigned her registration today, without giving any prior warning to parents, Ofsted confirmed.
The well-used provision, which has been ‘requiring improvement’ for years, closed suddenly at 2.30pm this afternoon, Wednesday, 3 February.
However, parents were previously told that the nursery would close on 12 March.
An Ofsted spokesperson said: “This provider told us she wanted to resign her Ofsted registration with immediate effect.”
We contacted Oops-a-Daisy Childcare earlier today; a staff member confirmed that the nursery had been closed and the manager was not on site.
