Occupants of battered car cut free in midnight horror smash

Two people were cut free from a car on Great Western Way this morning.

The road traffic collision happened at around 12.15am today, Tuesday 12 July.

Two vehicles, a silver Citroen Saxo and a blue Renault Clio were involved.

The two occupants of the Renault Clio were freed by a dozen firefighters from Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service.

Wiltshire Police say that they suffered minor injuries.

The road was closed for around two hours, while the emergency services dealt with the incident. It re-opened to traffic at around 1:50am.
