An employee at The Range has died after suffering a cardiac arrest this morning.
Wiltshire Air Ambulance attended at the scene, where South Western Air Ambulance paramedics were already working to save his life.
The medical emergency happened at The Range at around 11.15am today, 14 May.
Wiltshire Air Ambulance landed in the field behind the store, near Spring Gardens.
Unfortunately, the man – aged in his 50s – died at around 12pm.
The Range was evacuated and closed to customers for around three hours while.
An ambulance service spokesperson confirmed that several vehicles attended, including a doctor, Wiltshire Air Ambulance and a paramedic officer.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “‘Shortly before midday, on Saturday 14 May, police were called to The Range store, Fleming way, Swindon by the Ambulance Service.
“A local man, aged in his fifties, had suffered a medical emergency and sadly died at the location. Police are not treating the death as suspicious.
“Next of kin have been informed and formal identification will take place in due course. Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.”
