Man picked up by police for strolling M4 central reservation

A man was picked up by police officers after he was spotted having a stroll – along the motorway’s central reservation.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police commented: “Wiltshire Police were called at 1pm today by a member of the public saying that a man was seen walking along the hard shoulder of the M4 westbound between J17 and J18.

“He was then spotted walking along the central reservation of the carriageway.

“A rolling road block was put in place and the man was removed safely from the carriageway by a patrol team picking him up in their car.

“The man was taken to Gablecross Police Station.”
