Life in prison for one Gassmann sister – 12 years for the other

This afternoon, sisters Charice and Amberstasia Gassmann, were sentenced for the murder and manslaughter of Alison Connolly in May this year.

Charice, aged 19, and Amberstasia, aged 23, both from Swindon, appeared at Bristol Crown Court for a three-week long trial where a jury found Charice guilty of murder and Amberstasia guilty of the manslaughter of the mum-of-eight.

Charice was sentenced to life imprisonment and must serve a minimum term of 19 years, while Amberstasia was sentenced to 12 years imprisonment and must serve a minimum of six years.
