Jason Mundy, a man who had sex with a 12-year-old girl in bushes near his home in Nythe, has been spared a jail sentence.
At Swindon Crown Court, it was heard that now 20-year-old Mundy was immature and aged 17 at the time the offence took place – in August 2013.
The pair had met up shortly before the young girl’s 13th birthday.
According to the Swindon Advertiser, “the defendant denied any sort of sexual activity with the child and had been charged with rape.”
Fast food outlet worker Mundy pleaded guilty to sexual activity with a child.
He was sentenced to nine month jail term suspended for you years with supervision, and imposed a sexual harm prevention order, restricting his liberty, and told him he must register as a sex offender.
Mundy was also asked to complete 250 hours of unpaid work.
