Can you help police get lost Staffie home in time for Christmas?

Police are appealing for the public’s help in finding the owners of a lost Staffordshire Bull Terrier, so they can get it back to its owners in time for Christmas.

Neighbourhood Policing Team officers in Royal Wootton Basset have launched an appeal on Facebook, asking for members of the public to help them identify the lost Staffie, who is not wearing a collar and is not micro-chipped.

A spokesperson said: “Tonight this female Staffordshire Bull Terrier has been found in the Honeyhill area of Royal Wootton Bassett.

“As its Christmas we obviously have no Council out of hours dog wardens on duty and the RSPCA can’t help so who ya gonna call?! (Yeah, call the Police we’ll sort something out one way or another) but we don’t have suitable facilities to look after this dog as a Police Service (almost used a hot fuzz quote but refrained).

“Fortunately a very kind member of staff has taken the dog home to look after her but we need your help to find her owners.”
