Six fire crews battled a major fire, near Cricklade, which burnt three large hay barns to the ground, leaving five sheep injured.
Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service were called to the serious fire in Down Ampney at around 5.30pm on 27 December.
A spokesperson said that the hay within the barns was ‘well alight’ on arrival.
Six fire crews and two water carriers attended the incident and firefighters stayed on scene over night to ‘dampen down’ the fire, according to the fire service.
It has been confirmed that five sheep suffered minor injuries in the blaze.
“We are carrying out an investigation into the fire, but it is early days and we cannot comment while our investigation is ongoing”, a spokesperson told Swindon 24.
