Two fallen give way signs have caused a road traffic collision between two cars at the Bruce Street Bridges junction this evening.
The collision happened at around 5.45pm and involved an Audi A4 and a Volkswagen Golf estate, a registered taxi.
Residents have many complaints about the road revamp project – one being that the signs regularly fall over in the wind – causing traffic collisions and near misses.
One of the drivers involved in the collision told our Swindon 24 reporter on scene that they didn’t see any give way signs, and that contributed to the smash.
The same driver then decided to go and pick up the two fallen give way signs to make sure the same thing doesn’t happen to other drivers.
The emergency services were not called to the scene.
