A ‘suspicious’ driver who failed to stop for police officers collided with a post at Bruce Street Bridges at high speed on Sunday.
The silver Peugeot was requested to stop by Wiltshire Police on Rodbourne Road at around 3.10am on 10 July but made off and just 400 metres down the road, hit a post.
A police spokesperson said: “A Peugeot 406 was seen acting suspiciously in the Cheney Manor area of Swindon in the early hours of Sunday.
“Police attempted to stop the vehicle but the vehicle made off and collided with a street sign approximately 400 metres away.”
It is understood that two male occupants of the vehicle were taken to hospital for treatment.
