Child sex offender Jade Hatt allegedly using fake Facebook account

After being convicted for having sex with an 11-year-old boy, babysitter Jade Hatt is believed to be using a fake Facebook account to connect with unsuspecting people.

The 21-year-old child sex offender used the profile, with false name ‘Lauren Andrews’, to send a message to a press photographer, who wishes to remain anonymous, just moments after he photographed her outside Swindon Magistrates’ Court in February.

Hatt was sentenced to a six-month jail term suspended for two years with supervision. She was also required to register as a sex offender for seven years.

A screenshot of the account is currently circulating on Facebook, along with a caption stating: “A lot of ladies will know of Jade Hatt, if not, Google her. She had sex with a 12-year-old boy while baby sitting him! This is her fake profile!! No one accept it!!!!”

Many people have left comments to say that they have received a friend request from this account, but did not accept it. Others say they have now deleted the account.

Remember these simple rules about staying safe on Facebook:
  1. Never share your password,
  2. Think before you post,
  3. Adjust your privacy settings and review them often,
  4. Only accept friend requests from people you know personally, and
  5. Report things that look suspicious.
