A car has collided with the front of the Tap and Barrell pub on Manchester Road this afternoon, leaving residents confused as to how it happened.
Two vehicles were involved in the road traffic collision, which took place at around 3.40pm today, 14 January. Luckily, no serious injuries were reported.
A police spokesperson said: “We were called at 3.48pm to a report that a car had crashed into the front garden of the Tap and Barrell pub in Manchester Road.
“It is not believed the driver of the vehicle has suffered any serious injuries and it is not believed the building has been affected.
“Police are currently in attendance, and ambulance are also attending the scene.”
