Boy, 11, missing from West Swindon is wearing his school uniform

A frantic search is underway for a missing 11-year-old schoolboy.

UPDATE: William has been found safe and well.

William Smith, from Peatmoor, was last seen at around 8.30pm yesterday evening, Tuesday 12 July, in Westlea Park, Westlea, west Swindon.

“He is described as a white male, around 5 feet 5 inches tall, average build and with thick dark hair, and was last seen wearing a white shirt, with a navy blue Lydiard Park Academy blazer”, Wiltshire Police say.

Detective Inspector Simon Childe said: “We would like to appeal to anyone who may know where William is to get in touch with police immediately.

“We’d also like to appeal directly to William to get in touch with a family member or friend or call the police on 101. You’re not in any trouble, we just need to make sure you’re safe.

“William has been missing before, but never overnight and his family are concerned for him.”
