The Swindon Fringe festival is returning after the huge success of last year, and this morning (Friday, 2 December) the full schedule was released.
The festival started in 2012 and gives performers the chance to share their talents, with nine award-winning shows heading from Swindon to Brighton Fringe Festival, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and even showing at the West End.
It takes place from Saturday, 1 to Sunday, 9 April in a range of different venues including The Bohemian Balcony, The Shoebox Theatre, The Victoria, and the even the town hall.
This year, the festival received 78 applications from performers in 33 different places around the UK, from Aberdeen to Penzance. Despite the huge amount of interest, there are only 26 slots to fill.
It has a unique formula by pairing acts together each evening which gives audiences a chance to see as much of a mixture of performing arts as possible.
At the end of the celebrations, Swindon Fringe Festival will have a closing ceremony where they will give out awards and announce Swindon’s Choice, where the public have voted for their favourite performance of the festival.
Tickets are on sale from the Wyvern Theatre website from Tuesday, 3 January 2017.
