Proposals for four major transport schemes in the east of Swindon will be shown to members of the public at a special drop-in event next week (23 Jan).

The transport improvement schemes have been drawn-up as part of the New Eastern Villages (NEV) development, which will see about 8,000 homes, schools and new businesses built on land east of the A419 over the coming years.

The drop-in event will focus on improvements to the White Hart Junction, a scheme to improve the A420 Gablecross Junction and plans for the Great Stall Bridge and Southern Connector Road.

Council officers will be on hand at Coleview Community Centre, Towcester Road, Stratton St Margaret, SN3 4AS between 3.30pm and 6.30pm to answer any questions on Tuesday (23 Jan).

Plans on each of the schemes will be available to view prior to the meeting from 9am on Monday (22 Jan) at: www.swindon.gov.uk/NEV
