Swindon-born martial arts celebrity Matt Fiddes, and his wife, South African popstar Moniqe, have welcomed their second child, Hero, into the world.
Hero Fiddes was born at the Great Western Hospital, weighing nine pounds.
He is Matt’s fifth child – his second wife Moniqe, who already have a toddling son called Zack. Matt has three daughters, Madison, Lola and Savannah, with his former wife.
Matt Fiddes is best known for his work with Michael Jackson for more than ten years. He worked with the superstar as his bodyguard, and friend, up until his death in 2009.
Although, his greatest achievement has to be creating what is now the world’s largest martial arts franchise, with 650 Matt Fiddes Martial Arts schools around the world. His schools specialise in teaching children life skills and anti-bully techniques.
His Swindon-located francise is the biggest, with more than 2000 students. It’s owned and run by martial artist Pat O’Driscoll.
It was bullying at school that motivated Matt to build the £30 million empire he has to date, which includes the martial arts chain, an impressive property portfolio providing housing for more than 85 people in Devon and dance schools.
Earlier this year, Matt was cast to play a lead role in the film Fighting Talk, in which his co-stars include Hollywood movie star Silvio Simac, the original Oliver Twist Mark Lester and lead female actress and world bikini fitness champion, Sandra Radav. The movie, directed by Robby Haynes, is set to be released in summer 2016.
Matt was a personal friend of late pop star Michael Jackson, which made him a highly sough after celebrity trainer. His clients include: Chloe Goodman, Marnie Simpson, Roxanne Pallett, Francine Lewis, Danielle Lloyd, Jackson 5 and Peter Andre.
It is also rumoured that Matt is about to start working with Boyzone star Shane Lynch in Swindon very soon, and Aaron Renfree visited a school with him recently.
