Hundreds turn up for first screening of the new Star Wars movie

Hundreds of people turned out at cinemas across Swindon for the midnight screening of the new Star Wars movie, The Force Awakens, last night.

Peter Albanse was among the hundreds, he said: “Last nights showing was so good. It was the busiest I seen the cinema ever.

“Not many people dressed up but the buzz of the atmosphere was so good.”

“Cineworld Swindon at Regent circus put on a good show with quality light sabre show and staff on costumes”, he added. “The queue for food was long and many people pre booked their tickets. The staff did well to accommodate the masses and when the movie started a few cheers and when the famous John Williams theme came on it brought chills.

“The movie was very good, quite funny in places and the new characters were really likeable. Han Solo stole the movie with his charm and banter.”
