TE Connectivity in Dorcan has helped push the appeal total over the three-quarters of a million mark by donating £10,000.

The firm has already named Brighter Futures as its Charity of the Year for 2016 and is making the donation through its corporate giving programme, which supports community projects across the globe.

Jennifer Green, Head of Fundraising, said: “This fantastic gift has taken the amount raised for the Radiotherapy Appeal to £770,000. We are very grateful to TE Connectivity for this donation and thank them for their support to the appeal.”

“We’re calling on all local people and businesses to get behind the appeal and help us get to that all-important £1 million mark by the end of the summer. The summer months are particularly exciting for us as we’ve got a jam-packed calendar of fundraising opportunities coming up.”

Brighter Futures celebrated the first anniversary of its Radiotherapy Appeal in May and has raised £2,000 every day since the appeal was launched.
