World-famous Aunty Acid in town for gift retailer’s charity drive

A Swindon-based gifts retailer, which works in partnership with the creators of the world-famous character Aunty Acid, is looking for local charities to support.

They’ll Love It, which has its head office on Cheney Manor Industrial Estate, is partnered with Backland Media who are the creators of Aunty Acid.

The fictional character is undoubtedly the queen of Facebook, with a staggering 9.2 million fans, and a weekly reach of more than 70 million people worldwide.

They’ll Love It’s slogan is ‘the gift that gives twice’, and with that, they will give 10% of their profits to their charity of the week. Although their online store operates worldwide, founders Ryan and Tony Acres are dedicating one weekly slot per month to a local charity which is based right here in Swindon and Wiltshire.

Of course, Aunty Acid herself stopped by the retailer’s Swindon head office this week to be in the charity drive photograph, with the brand’s founders Ryan and Tony.

Ryan Acres, co-founder and director said: “They’ll Love It is all about ‘the gift that gives twice’. As a successful business, we do what we can to give back to the community, and giving money to a local charity with ever Aunty Acid gift does exactly that.

“It’s really easy for any organisation to become our charity of the week. It takes five minutes to get in touch with us and from there you’ll be put in the hat. We’ll draw charities at random on a monthly basis, to make it fair.

“We’re really excited to be supporting the work of Swindon and Wiltshire charities.”
