Old Town’s newest cafe is set to launch its OAP discount Wednesday scheme next week, giving old-aged pensioners the opportunity to grab a bargain lunch.
Dotty’s Old Town Cafe which opened earlier this month on Devizes Road is already making waves. On Wednesday, the cafe’s owners Graham Rowcliffe and Liz Baylis will start to offer £2-off a set meal for the over 60s.
Barry Jones, who lives near Lawn Woods, has been a regular visitor to the cafe for over five years, has seen the cafe go from strength to strength.
He said: “The refurbishment work has made the cafe bright and cheerful.
“The opportunity for OAPs to go to Dotty’s for a discounted meal on Wednesdays is a great idea. There isn’t much entertainment for older people, at this time in their life.”
The offering for customers on the OAP Wednesdays scheme will be two courses for £7 (usual price would be over £9). There will be a choice of three main meals and three deserts. The choice will vary week-on-week.
