A fashion entrepreneur from Old Town has launched her new venture, creating dog bow ties – but surprisingly she’s not barking mad.

Fashion graduate Emma Phipps launched her men’s accessories company, aptly named Beau Tie, back in October 2012.

Now, after three years of building her successful business, she decided to challenge herself further, and has decided to launch a second online shop.

Her new business venture is called Dog&Beau, and is all about creating beautifully handmade accessories for our furry friends of the world.

She makes all her dog bow ties and bandanas using vintage, recycled, up-cycled and locally sourced fabrics, to encourage a greener approach to business.

Dog&Beau was created to compliment Beau Tie as a sister company, and owner Emma has plenty of exciting plans in store for 2016.

Emma said: “‘I think it’s important in business to challenge yourself, and launching a second company has really helped to keep me on my toes.

“I can’t deny my love for animals, so branching out to the dog world is a natural progression, as well as a fun venture! I’m excited to see it grow.’
